BrainFriend is an educational software package developed to aid Secondary and Post Secondary School students seeking admission into Tertiary institutions in Nigeria in their preparation for the Senior School Certificate and University Matriculation Examinations.
The software is a compilation of SSCE, GCE, NECO, UME and POLYJAMB past examination questions, with their answers in Compact Discs (Home Edition) and on the Internet (Web Edition). The student is this way exposed to a wide range of questions covering the whole syllabus in the respective subjects with which he can test himself in real time to find out how prepared he actually is for the exams.
After each test, the student has the option of checking the correct answers with some explanations to prove why such answers are correct. He is also shown likely situations in which the incorrect answers are applicable.
Also included is a summary compilation of every topic of every subject in the syllabus for use as a quick reference for the student before and after exams. These "Hints", as they are called, also contain amongst other bits of information, important definitions, diagrams and formulae.
BrainFriend is designed not as a substitute, but a supplement to proper study in preparation for examinations. We strongly believe that this software, which the first of its kind in Nigeria, will not only produce better prepared candidates for the respective exams, but will also help parents and teachers alike, to know how prepared these children are.
